Facilities Assistant Manager (Technical)

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • To assist in formulating and implementation of plans or programs for effective facilities and utilities maintenance. The critical utility includes HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-
  • conditioning) system and compressed air system.

  • To participate in all facilities improvement projects.
  • To be responsible of departments overall maintenance, facilities, utility and equipment budget.
  • To ensure all external outsourcing jobs are carried out according to requirements and standards that has been set by the company and as per GMP standards.
  • Coordinate with all internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of technical works are carried out in accordance to company’s standards and policy.
  • Promptly highlight constrains, deficiencies or trends that require corrective actions to be taken to all respective stake holders.

  • To see the implementation of ON time preventive maintenance is taken place for the facilities and equipment’s.
  • To be responsible for high quality execution of building renovations, new line setup, machine setup and utilities supply installation.
  • To review, amend and create SOP’s and Company Procedures accordance to the guideline given by the QA department.
  • Lead and develop subordinate.
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Professional Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Electromechanical Engineering.
  • A second professional Degree in Business or MBA is highly welcomed.
  • At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
  • Good leadership and management skills.
  • Self-driven and strive for excellence.
  • Good in English writing and communication skills.
  • Able to withstand stress in a fast pace environment.
  • Plant Facilities Technician

    Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Carry out an intensive programme of planned preventive maintenance for all company buildings and utilities.
  • Carry out routine maintenance on all company machinery and equipment to include fault finding, problem solving and minor repairs to minimize down time.
  • Full, accurate and timely completion of all maintenance logs, schedules, etc. to comply with Health and Safety legislation and company, insurance and ISO requirements, etc.
  • Contact external contractors as required and accompany / assist them while on site.
  • Ensure there are adequate supplies of spares on site for commonly used parts or those with a long lead time.
  • Create & continuously update technical files for plant & equipment from liaison with suppliers, operator or own knowledge, etc.
  • Carry out daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks and inspections and takes timely corrective action. Report problems and / or unsafe practices to relevant Supervisor and Health and Safety, together with any recommendations for improvements.
  • Carry out all minor mechanical & electrical repairs in relation to buildings and utilities, planned and executed in such a way so as to minimize risk or inconvenience to others.
  • Follow up on action points agreed on the Health & Safety Improvement Log and by the Health and Safety Committee within the agreed timescales.
  • Ensure quality procedures relating to maintenance are followed eg. calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Minor troubleshooting & maintenance for office equipment if required. (Ex. PABX system)12. Review processes, procedures, systems, paperwork, etc.
  • in own area, and make suggestions for improvement.

  • Any other reasonable duties or project work which may be required by management from time to time.
  • Accountability

  • Ensure full and timely reporting of all major breakdowns, significant problems, repair requirements, delays or machine down time to relevant personnel.
  • Liaise with internal customers and suppliers as necessary to clarify technical details and overcome problems.
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering. or Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum AO / A1 Chargeman certificate and with mechanical background.
  • Knowledge in Aircon system and air compressors would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the related field with Good hands-On-Experience.
  • Required to be a self starter and demonstrates initiative for day to day job.
  • Able to communicate well with all levels and able to feedback on regular basis.
  • Able to carry out improvement projects and creative thinking.
  • Able to use Microsoft application, email and adapt to Online monitoring systems such BAS, EMS or BMS.
