We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our highly successful Innovation team based in Malaysia.

Reporting to the Manager, Quality, the Quality Executive- HALAL is responsible for the HALAL system in the plant from the point of coordinator for HALAL assurance system to implementation to maintaining the system in the plant.

He / She is the key contact for HALAL related matters. This role also required to handle operational Mini Business Area 2 lines (hold and releases, line troubleshooting and New Product Developments introduction).

Work scopes also handles some calibration, document controls, application for Health Certificate and Free Sale Certificate.

This person also deals with copacker items to ensure the repacking is of Quality Compliance according to specification. Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Establish the HALAL system of the plant (HALAL Assurance System) HAS MANUAL
  • Control of materials to the end production storage of the product in supply chain
  • Coordinates with Procurement for all changes of the ingredients to ensure HALAL cert is valid, approved by authority and up to date
  • Update the changes to SARAN Indonesia regarding the changes of materials to ensure HALAL site is up to date
  • Update the local JAKIM website to reflect changes in materials if any
  • Coordinates and ensure bi yearly HALAL internal audit is conducted timely and all findings are closed timely and effectively
  • Coordinates and arrange the HALAL trainings to all HALAL committee and operators to ensure HALAL agenda is up to date
  • Update Management Review related to HALAL requirements
  • Alert management should there be any HALAL related issues
  • Manages Mini Business Area 2 lines troubleshooting when there is incompliance of Critical Control Point, out of specification for quality parameters and line related issues
  • Support production trials in Mini Business Area 2 lines
  • Hold and release of the Mini Business Area 2 finished products based on testing results or when necessary based on risk assessment
  • Monitor any disposal of finished product bearing Mondelez trademark to be discarded according to Mondelez requirements
  • Support New Products Developments introduction at the Mini Business Area 2 lines such as new products or productivity projects
  • Execute calibration program as per schedule
  • Update the latest equipment list to masterlist and carry out calibration as per planned
  • Ensure document control procedure is established, updated and adhered to
  • Training to new personnel if required to
  • Key coordinator for all mandatory trainings to ensure it is executed as per planned
  • Application for all Health Certificates and Free Sale Certificates for exports
  • Conducts internal audit and participates in external audits.
  • Follows up on gap closure and verifies if corrective actions are carried out promptly.
  • Conducts training on Quality and Food Safety topics and assesses effectiveness of training,
  • Conduct risk assessments when required on related work process and area
  • Ensure compliance of Safety requirements : Work Permit, LockOut TagOut, Work At Height, Confined Space for Quality initiated work
  • Qualifications

    Do you have what it takes?

  • Diploma / Degree in Microbiology / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent
  • Qualification in HALAL systems either by theory or work experience
  • Internal Auditors in HALAL system, Food Safety system
  • Minimum 3 years’ hands on experience in HALAL system
  • Knowledge on HAS system, GMP & HACCP, ISO22000 or FSSC 22000
  • Knowledge in HALAL requirements
  • Experience dealing with JAKIM and related HALAL body
  • Able to work effectively in cross functional team and good influencing skills
  • Good Communication Skill and a Team Player
