1. Legal advisory support and documentation
Identify, analyze potential legal issues and implications and provide legal advice to the business & support units of the Bank.
Maintain the standard documentation used by the business units to ensure they remain relevant and updated.
Draft, review and negotiate agreements required for the Bank’s business.
2. Product development
Advise on the legal risks relating to new product development.
Clear advertisements for launches of products and services.
3. Litigation manage litigation commenced by or against the Bank.
4. Legal developments - monitor developments in applicable law and regulations. Keep business units abreast of all applicable developments in laws and regulations and their impact on the Bank.
Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Law and be a qualified lawyer in Malaysia.
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice and / or in-house experience gained preferably from banks or financial services sector.
Have experience in corporate & consumer banking business. Experience in Islamic banking business or litigation (banking, civil, execution proceedings and regulatory compliance) is an advantage.
Possess strong analytical and clear thought process. Good communication skills.
Candidates should be self-motivated, independent, resourceful. Able to work well independently and in a team.
