Assists the Executive Pastry Chef in the central processing unit, Mise en place and effective execution of orders in a timely manner.
Actively engages both culinary colleagues and guests to continually seek feedback to improve the culinary department. Establish and monitor all quality, consistency, safety, stocks and hygiene standards.
Summary of Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Offer quality, professional, friendly and proactive preparation
Prepare and service all pastry items according to the house recipes and standards
Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions
Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage / spoilage (FIFO)
Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate and conducts inventory count
Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Follow kitchen policies and production unit procedures
Other duties as assigned
Diploma in pastry or any other relevant culinary course.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the pastry line
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
