The Cargo Execution Manager in the Liner Operations Cluster (LOC) for Maersk, heads up a team of Cargo Execution operators based in Tanjung Pelepas who work 24x7 in shifts.
The team is at the heart of Maersk Operations and focusses on enabling cost efficient and smooth cargo operations for our customers’ cargo to and from all vessel calls, both mainliner and feeder vessels, carrying Maersk business.
The position is part of the Asia Pacific Operations Cluster (APALOC) . APALOC is responsible for vessel schedules, allocation management, Vessel Share and Agreement (VSA) coordination, port productivity, procuring and controlling container yard, port expenses and foreign feeder costs, load and discharge processes, equipment positioning and evacuation.

A team that instructs the 3rd party and APM Terminal terminal operators on what to load and discharge as well as being in the lead to deal with contingencies and disruptions in the network in a 24 / 7 environment.
Opportunities to network with key stakeholders, operational and commercial based, to improve the product and product execution, including direct contact with our end customers where needed.
Lead, inspire and grow the Cargo Execution operators within his / her team.
On behalf of Maersk ensure correct, accurate and timely process execution for load, discharge and transshipment operations with our terminal operators.
Execute operational contingencies with an eye for customer impact and cost to the network.
Improve the load as booked and discharge as planned performance by making the customer central during contingency and operational decisions.
Create a cost-conscious mindset in the team, driving down cost. through removal of waste in the process and optimizing operations.
Work together with terminal operators and partners to continuously improve operating standards.
Challenge and improve Maersk global standards both inside and outside the cargo execution process landscape.
Be part of the larger Cargo Execution management team and connect the daily operations with upstream improvements.

Experience in operations and leadership is preferred, but not necessary.
