The incumbent will need to have a strong track record in the Malaysia market supported by wealth sales track record to attest to this.

The incumbent will need to be a highly capable business leader, goal oriented and focused on delivering exceptional results in a highly competitive environment.

The incumbent should also have strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills, in addition to analytical, influencing and negotiation skills are essential when competing for new business relationships.

Responsibilities :

  • Build and develop relationships with institutional clients across Malaysia.
  • To develop business development and sales strategy.
  • Delivering agreed sales target.
  • Ensure orderly of documentation of business activities to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field; CFA charter holder and / or MBA degree holder preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience and a proven track record within a global wealth and asset management organization.
  • Sound knowledge in investment products with good understanding of mutual fund / unit trust market trends and movements, as well as ideally a proven ability to identify products trends and to advise design of the products to meet investor needs.
  • Understanding of strategy and business development processes, practices together with sound knowledge of the operational and regulatory frameworks of the investment markets.
  • Strategic sales skills and ability to take an entrepreneurially strategic approach to growing Manulife’s market share, demonstrate creativity in their approach and a proven passion for developing business.
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm and passion for results. Strong integrity and high ethical standards. Works well in a global and matrix organization.
