Responsible for the preparation of proposals / tenders, costing of equipment and render sales support to the Sales Department.
Perform preliminary calculations to size columns, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps and other various process equipment for costing of equipment and pricing of the Plant.
Prepare equipment lists of required parts and equipment with the right and relevant specifications.
To coordinate with the Logistics team to acquire quotations from various suppliers, conduct evaluation on quotations and to ensure the correct and right cost basis are utilized in costing of equipment and pricing of the Plant.
Assist and support the Sales Department to achieve the annual budget orders intake in terms of value and anticipated margins.
Assist the Sales Department to penetrate the market to ensure optimum market coverage and timely response to market opportunities in terms of proposal preparation, follow up and negotiations.
Assist in developing / maintaining healthy customer relationship and provide planned regular and effective visit and give support so as to maintain their confidence, its products and hence enhance future sales possibilities.
Closely monitor the competitive environment including technology and commercial developments of key competitors and provide these inputs to the Sales Manager to develop counter strategy.
Coordinate with the Engineering / Operation Department for assistance required on proposal preparation and technical presentation to customers.
Coordinate and engage in the preparation of company and technology presentation jointly with Sales Engineer / Manager.
Assist in following up regularly on submitted proposals and to update the project list on monthly basis.
Create, update and maintain on a regular basis the customer database.
Coordinate and engage in the preparation of selected conferences and exhibitions and participate during the exhibition.
Ensure compliance with comapany’s policies and procedures and all directives set by the Management.
Undertake any other assignment or tasks as and when assigned by the Sales Manager and top management.
Relevant tertiary education in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to take a positive and proactive approach to solving problems.
Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, proactive and customer service manner
Possess good communication skills.
