The main purpose of the role is the management and delivery of Exploration business planning and appraisal activities throughout the year (i.
e. Business Plan, quarterly forecasts, regular performance reporting and portfolio appraisal). It includes coordinating data gathering, complex data analysis through to providing input and advice directly and / or indirectly to Senior leaders across the organization.
This role is best suited to candidates with a robust analytical background who would like to influence decision making and the performance management agenda in Shell.
Lead preparation of the annual Exploration Business Plan and related assessments working with Ventures & support functions across Asia Region
prioritization / resource allocation
Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders, to deepen team's understanding of underlying issues within the Plan
Support preparation of Annual Business Review and scorecard for the Region
Deliver regular insightful appraisal analysis
Support the Regional VP in optimizing the business through providing high quality insight, briefing documents and presentations as needed
Ad hoc projects at the request of Regional VP or Regional Finance Manager
Play a key role in shaping and delivery of Continuous Improvement initiatives
Where relevant coach other team members in areas of expertise
The nature of the process results in peak periods during which flexibility will be required from
the person in the role to ensure timely completion of all deliverables to a high standard. Regional FP&A Lead will also be expected to manage multiple concurrent workstreams by effectively prioritizing short and long-term deliverables.
The role holder will be expected to share feedback and ideas on process improvement, to ensure better peak management and improved insights / outcomes.
