Key Responsibilities Provide leadership role in marshalling the Sales and Marketing management team to achieve the company sales target and market leadership position Direct plan organize and implement strategies to achieve agreed short and long term business objectives Regular review of marketing plan to ensure effectiveness and provide necessary guidance on maintaining competitiveness of marketing efforts Provide continuous training and development for staff to hone their skill and achieve excellence in their job function Work closely across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure timely delivery of milestones and activities Ensure successful launch of new products through pre-

launch activities market research impactful launch and sustainable marketing and sales efforts Maintain a system of regular engagement with key external experts who can provide robust external perspective and assist in cascading brand information Oversee the planning budgeting and sales forecasting process in accordance according to corporate planning requirements Establish effective working relationship and communication with the sales force and provide support for the achievement of sales and marketing goals Lead coach and inspire the sales organisation to embed the KPIs in the new way of workingEvaluate sales opportunities and maximizing productivity by increasing level of endorsement and recommendation by the medical and pharmacy professions for GSK range of productsManage performance through appraisal and evaluation of a NSMs performance vs the KPIs established and manage through reward or remedial action should the need arises for improvements Increase competencies in FC accuracy through robust and intelligent approach incorporating a disciplined culture in forecasting Continuously monitor the performance of the distributor to the satisfaction of the customers If necessary recommendation through the management is made Ensure no major violation to LSOPs regarding T E Pharmacovigilance Strict adherence to promotional and marketing code of ethics Conduct real conversation with regards to the business plan review with the designated team of NSMs to identify opportunities to reach out to patients by channels Coaching Leadership team to raise their leadership competencies Develop strong partnership with stakeholders to identify opportunities to build on reach to patients through channels Knowledge The job holder needs a strong background in both Sales Marketing of Pharmaceutical products understand the market dynamics challenges and opportunities in order to make sound business decisions Knowledge and grasp on different business sectors e g private and public customers competitors and being in the know of the treatment and management of disease areas are required Embrace a high sense of accountability to ensure total portfolio growth and delivery is optimized by both Sales Marketing as stipulated in the annual brand and operational planning process The knowledge of people management skills based on the latest thinking of management principles are key towards building a high performing team besides a full appreciation of GSK Pharma code of conduct and corporate governance Complexity Understand and able to manage crisis and other business risks Drive strategic alignment or realignment of sales team to optimize product reach mix and people resources utilization Strategic planning and resources allocation for current and future optimal brand mix investment Deep understanding analysis and utilization of market information dynamics issues and opportunities to derive proposal on new product launch new molecule sourcing launch divesting of matured off patent and declining portfolios when necessary and development of relevant execution plans Independent Thinking Analytical opportunistic able to handle extremely stressful situation dare to take risk strategic decision making resilient and positive thinking Responsibility Working in close collaboration with Medical Regulatory Logistic Finance HR Legal and other relevant departments Drive market leadership for the corporation in the respective therapeutic areas Sustained business growth with existing and new products Increased profitability by managing marketing investment and product mix strategy Leverage strong relationship with relevant external experts to build a network of support in line with commercial objectives Development of leadership managerial and technical skills of appropriate staff Motivating building and maintaining cohesion between Sales Marketing teams based on GSK expectations Uphold GSK code of conduct in all promotion customer relation activitiesOperating business thru building trust with key internal and external stakeholders Annual Strategic Planning To play a key role in contributing towards GSKs annual budget reviews annual strategic planning brand planning Annual Operation Planning and lead Marketing Sales leadership teams active involvement and contribution Specialised Knowledge Qualification Strong industry specialist knowledge Job requires knowledge of domestic and international healthcare industry competitors and healthcare environment and or knowledge of own functional discipline trends etc Experiences Minimum 10 years of Pharmaceutical Marketing and Sales experience at least 3 years in senior management level in the industry Competencies Required Strong leadership influencing skills building confidencePeople managementStrategic planningProblem solving decision makingChange managementCustomer focusDrive for resultsBuild open communication
