Job Description

  • Monitor e-mail communications to ensure analysts, who share this position, are following-up on issues to meet target metric of zero containers out gate while under active region customs holds.
  • Ensure team is updated timely and accurately within the stipulated KPI target. This deliverable has no margin for late & inaccurate updates.
  • Develop team competency through the sharing of actual scenarios to support their understandings of cargo data flow and evolving customs compliance issues, and other technology advancements.
  • Work with the technology development team on further systems enhancements.
  • To maintain staffing requirement for operation team.
  • To have routine discussion with the teams to facilitate communication and provide mutual support within the teams.
  • To analyse and relay KPIs to team to effectively achieve targets.
  • To carry out cross training to allow greater flexibility in shift coverage and extend knowledge of the team.
  • Manage and monitor ad hoc projects.
  • Monitoring of daily Ops deliveries, KPI, complex problem resolutions.
  • Identify root cause of issue and improve processes
  • Coach and lead a team of operation analysts
  • Support Manager in building high performance work team to increase productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Ensure team is meeting delivery targets and ensure vessel creation & updates are done timely.
  • Identify areas where standardization of process is possible across countries.
  • Identify talents in the team and groom for career progression opportunities.
  • Stand in for Manager as and when require.
  • Job Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree in any related field.
  • At least 5 years working experience in service industry / shipping / 3 years supervisory experience in Shipping Operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) in order to deal effectively with both internal and external parties
  • Good in leadership, problem-solving by interpreting, investigating, and resolve issues.
  • Responsible to every single task given and able to
  • Basic knowledge of EDI processing and understand of customs requirements.
  • Good in computer literate Microsoft Office, (Advance Microsoft Excel).
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadline.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Multi-lingual will be added advantage.
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to work on 24 / 7 shifts / Public Holidays / Weekends.
