As a Project Manager, you will champion and manage key new product development and launch activities of priority projects for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei (MSB), in order to drive more effective and efficient innovations.

Embed Project Management as ways of working across MSB. Lead other LOC Projects such as Locally Led NPIs, PD Integration, Strategic Partnerships, Divestments and Acquisitions.

This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following :

  • Develop and Enhance project delivery capability of MSB team through internal and / or external project management training and coaching.
  • Manage the Artwork updates and transitions. Drives efficiencies and cost reduction within MSB artworks.
  • Manage Projects on PD Integration, Strategic Partnerships, Divestment and Acquisitions across MSB.
  • Lead the MSB LOC Team in use of project management tools, methodologies / techniques to generate faster and better innovations (i.
  • e. facilitating Joint Planning Sessions, ensuring project lead teams have defined STP / business case, Project Charters, Project Timelines, Key Issues / Risks / Actions / Decisions log, RACI template, etc).

  • Set-up Project Management Board / Project Review Meetings and ensure these are held on a regular (monthly) basis; Facilitate / co-Chair these meeting with the General Manager and attended by functional heads.
  • Manage projects tracking system to highlight status / progress of key projects across MSB and provide the leadership team with line-of-sight on the status / progress of those projects.
  • Partner with the Area Project Manager and LOC Project Lead (Marketing / Commercial) to ensure that he / she conducts the critical cross functional meetings (1.
  • Kick-off meetings, 2. Joint Planning Sessions and, 3. regular cross-functional team meetings) are conducted to :

  • Ensure project plans are defined by the lead / team and in-place for the cross-functional working team (Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, Regulatory / Quality, R&D and GMS) which would cover defining project scope, objectives, strategy, resources requirements, structure, costs and schedule to ensure flawless product development and launch.
  • Ensure that the cross-functional team conduct team reviews on project stage / activities deliverables and that these are happening as per agreed timeline (i.
  • e. artwork creation and approvals, regulatory requirements / submissions, myPSR entries).

  • Drive issues / risk identification, resolution and escalation as part of the team meetings; Assure smooth transition between key decision points within the LOC Functions.
  • Ensure project teams correctly define and resolve issues within its remit plus developing recommendations for resolution of issues outside remit, which the PM escalates to key stakeholders / functional heads.

  • Ensure changes are clearly communicated and approved through the local Project Management Board / Project Review Meetings
  • Holds regular project status meetings with the project leads and cross-functional team.
  • Assume a project management leadership role in teams on key / special priority projects identified by General Manager, alongside the commercial / marketing, GMS / ES and other functional leads, providing confidence and competence necessary to take on the most challenging objectives.

  • Drive Compliance in documentation, alignment and processes across all projects.

  • 3-5 years experience in an FMCG environment involved in new product / package projects

  • Strong analytical skills to map out complex highly interdependent issues to simplify and create solutions
