Purpose of Role :

  • The Finance Executive CI2C is accountable for the processing of transactions & activities related but not exhaustive to Customer Master Data, Invoice to Cash, Collection, Dispute & Bad Debt.
  • He or she will process such transactions on behalf of Sanofi Business Services (SBS) across Asia, China and JPAC. In addition, he or she may be actively involved in further improvement of SBS and any other tasks assigned by the management.

    This position will provide the successful candidate a unique opportunity to further grow into the Sanofi Group within the SBS environment as it further develops, due to the exposure to Country Finance teams across the regions.

    This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

    Operations :

    The Finance Executive CI2C’s key responsibilities includesvmain ma but not exhaustive :

  • Perform new customer creation, customer master data maintenance & inactivation.
  • Perform credit risk assessment for new & existing customer, ad’hoc & periodic credit review
  • Perform invoice integration, revenue recognition & cash application
  • Manage daily sales orders & sales reconciliation
  • Perform collection activities including sending Statement of Account and dunning letters
  • Perform month-end closing activities / reporting (Marco Sales, AR Ageing report, IWC )
  • Ensure timely & quality month-end closing and reporting of legal statutory account within Sanofi Group Calendar timeframes
  • Answer enquiries from stakeholders & customers
  • Update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) when needed and obtain validation from Head of CI2C Process
  • Support ad’hoc projects implementation (Robotic Process Automation (RPA), process improvement projects )
  • Manage any other tasks assigned by Head of CI2C Process
  • SBS Transition :

  • Participate in transition activities from Country to KL Platform, including knowledge transfer and preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Support Head of CI2C Process to ensure operational readiness by the go-live date
  • Provide quality and timely service to stakeholder as per Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance of the following under the supervision of Head of CI2C Platform : Internal Control, Sarbanes Oxley-Act (SOX), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Support internal & external audit and take action on issues identified
  • Continuous improvement :

  • Identify areas of improvement, recurring issues / roadblocks, alert and propose solution to Head of CI2C Process.
  • Be actor of change and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Team Corner session, Empower All through Simplification and Efficiency (EASE), Idea Pitch
  • Participate in LEAN workshop, acquire LEAN mindset and work according to LEAN methodology.
  • Skills and Experience :

  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the Finance / Accounting sector
  • Working experience in Finance shared services, either in-house or in a BPO
  • Understanding of shared services technologies such as scanning and imaging, OCR, case management tools, KPI monitoring and reporting
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working experience with SAP, specifically FICO is a must
  • Proficient in the use of applications in the MS-Office suite, including MS-Excel
  • Experience in successful handling of Customer Invoicing to Cash
  • Self-motivated, mature and ability to work independently
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or equivalent
