Min 3 years’ working experience in safety, health and environmental field in the manufacturing industry (Non-Executive)
At least SPM / STPM / Diploma or equivalent.
Being registered as a Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with The Department of Safety & Health in Malaysia (DOSH) will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of ISO, HACCP and HALAL certification will be an added advantage.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
To be responsible for planning, reviewing, coordinating, implementing and updating occupational safety and health management system in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, Factories and Machinery Act 1967 and other legislative requirements at the workplace.
To conduct regular and timely safety and health inspections, hazard identification and report findings with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
To investigate accident, incident and near-miss occurrence on jobsite and complete required documentation with recommendations for preventions.
To be responsible for Permit-to-Work programme and ensure that visitors and contractors are briefed on safety and health policies.
To conduct timely safety trainings, emergency response drills, trainings for Emergency Response Team and ensure training records are maintained.
To participate in the Safety and Health Committee meetings.
To be responsible for purchasing, distribution, maintaining and recording of personal protective equipment.
To assist the Safety and Health Supervisor in his daily work.
To perform other duties and functions as directed by the Management.
