To control project cost and ensure overall budget of the projects is maintained from inception to completion and monitoring major cost elements.
Responsible to review, evaluate and make recommendations on tender quotations.
Capable of handling contract administration, construction claims, legal and contractual issues.
Able to interpret contracts, adapt in drafting provisions, preliminary, specification and BQ descriptions, checking measurements and well verse in pricing.
Familiar with preparation and management of pre-contract and post contract work.
Experience in tendering process, pricing and feasibility study of development projects.
Monitor timely award of sub-contracts, timely submission of claims, variation, final account, cash flow, material control.
Self initiating and able to complete tasks as per instructions given.
Candidates must possess at least a recognized Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years and above working experience.
Good knowledge of pre-contract administration, cost estimation, tendering and post contract management.
Conversant in standard method of measurement rules and BQ preparations.
Computer literate and experience in handling residential and commercial projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with consultants and contractors.
Possess strong contractual knowledge, negotiation and writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Must be able to handle large scale project(s).
