APAC Bid Manager - Airport
The position will be supporting Account Managers and Business Consultants within the APAC and responsible for the shepherding of qualified opportunities through the different internal support functions with a goal of delivering a first-
class proposal for customer presentation. The position will also work on behalf of the Account Managers and Business Consultants in regards to identifying and providing support documentation including approvals for the booking of such proposals thus providing increased customer face-
time for the direct sales force.
To ensure that the bid decisions and bid responses (such as expressions of interest, pre-qualification questionnaires, grant applications, framework applications and proposals) is managed in a timely, efficient, organised and methodologically, strategically and commercially pertinent manner
An understanding of bid development, contract management and legal requirements for bids preferred.
Establishing the plans and strategies in support of and winning their assigned opportunities.
Provide competitive insight from past opportunities and apply 'lessons learned' to the assigned opportunities to generate effective counter strategies
Coordinate activities with other functions within the Sales Support Center to achieve overall business results within the assigned opportunities
Manage sales costs for assigned opportunities against projected / estimated budget.
Establishing and implementing the delivery plans and strategies for successful delivery in accordance with customer and internal expectations / requirements
Responsible for the development and implementation of strategy for assigned opportunities.
Responsible for facilitating and working with other Sales Support Center contributors and functions for assigned opportunities
Leads bid response, functional system review, competitive comparison and review for accurate estimates and new applications of technology
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of Bachelor's Degree equivalent Honeywell sales operations
experience.5 years' experience in Airport bid management, project management or sales
Preferred Qualifications :
Excellence communication skills reading, speaking and writing
Experience in Airport bidding within APAC will be advantageous
Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage
Anticipate future trends accurately; learn quickly and think independently to adapt as required
Demonstrates a well-developed sense of the industry and market trends for their assigned opportunities
Depth of knowledge of our customers' businesses and drivers
Knowledge of internal sales process and systems to drive consistent business results
Experience with balancing short term results with long term strategy
Demonstrated credibility at the executive level
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
Proven ability to work on multiple projects / opportunities at one time
Push self and others to successfully execute against response plan
Evaluate provide feedback to the Sales Support Center Leader on the strengths and limitations of their team
Prioritize and focus efforts on best opportunities (short and long term) based on business needs
