process according to global and Local SOPS.
Entry point and responsible for Cargo contingency within Geographical Scope and during the duty roaster along with internal and external stake-holders.
Responsible for delivery on targets / KPIs on collective and individual basis

A thorough understanding of where and how the Liner operations cluster is impacting the end-to-end process of the company, more specific the impact this could have on overall Cargo Execution, feeder and mainline optimization and network optimization with a clear mind-
set on reducing operating costs.
Execution responsibility :
Responsible for the Cargo Execution Activities as per End-to-End Process map.
Creation and Maintenance of all Cargo Execution deadlines according to local SOP.
Manage Cargo Flow Planning (Pre-planning) according to LOC / HOC SOP released.
Handling Cargo Execution Exception. Handling according to requirements and with the correct tools provided (Share Point & local tools).
Handle special connection request and cargo hub misconnection.
Longstanding and Renominations according to APA scope.
Coordinate and work with capacity teams to optimize volume flow on the feeder and mainline network out of Export and Transhipment locations.
Execute day to day tasks in the shift set-up as outlined by the cargo flow shift coordinator.
Accountable for responsibility during designated shifts for the cargo execution department whilst acting with due diligence and in accordance with ML values / goals.
Responsible to drive down renomination costs and longstandings within the hubs.
Specific Accountabilities :
Execute assigned tasks in the Cargo Flow Management roster according to responsibilities in a smart and efficient manner.
Key role on operational contingencies according to the SOP and guidance from principals.
Delivery on Key Performance Indicators as per annual objectives.
Assist colleagues on operational challenges acting with due diligence and professionalism
Drive performance management with terminal, suppliers and agents
Monitor for compliance to MLB operations standards and processes
Engage with the authorities and local associations as MLB representative to influence and steer overall engagement
Interact with the terminal high operational performance, through connection checks, optimistaion of load and discharge process and exceptional handling
Seek and recommend opportunistic changes to MEPC products, cost saving initiatives and driving the best value for business through E2E Service Delivery.
Participate and engage with local cluster organisation to familiarize with local drivers

Cargo, Marine or Capacity Planning background is an added advantage.
A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a shipping and / or supply chain / operations related role preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills including fluent in English.
Good knowledge of the operational end to end process, Specific knowledge about port characteristics within APA scope (e.
g. customs regulations, terminal restrictions , Authorities requirements etc) would be an added advantage.
Systems specifics (be able to handle the systems used on daily basis in operations) would be an advantage : RKEM; GSIS; MEPC; OUTLOOK; COMS; GPP.
Be aware of relevant processes and standards, and suggest / drive improvements through management and colleagues where required.

This is 24x7 position, that involves shift work. The team runs on 3 shift setup round the clock.
The morning and afternoon shift are responsible for Cargo operations and tasks related to load and discharge
list for the Port of Tanjung Pelapas
The night shift will carry out the full APA port scope, handling Exceptional handling. Load and Discharge
process where required.
