Sephora Malaysia is seeking to hire a Supply Chain Manager. This is an exciting role and will suit you if you thrive in a fast paced environment, work well with others, and you are passionate about driving results.
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will report to the Country Manager for Malaysia, with a functional reporting line to the Supply Chain Director for SEA.
You will be a key member of the local leadership team, which runs Sephora Malaysia, one of the fastest growing business units within Sephora SEA, with 19 stores across the country, and more to come over the next three years.
You will lead and manage a team of two and your core KPI will be on-shelf availability. You will work collaboratively with the regional team to ensure that Sephora's exclusive brand portfolio remains in stock, sharing responsibility with the regional team.
For the selective (non-exclusive) brands, you will cooperate with brand partners to manage supply, and you are entirely accountable for the demand & supply planning.
Day to day you will assess stock levels, ensure reporting accuracy, and place orders with brand partners and the regional teams.
You will help lead the order process to ensure shipments arrive on time, are distributed to the respective stores efficiently and that our retail locations receives the products they need to meet their commercial goals.
Summary of responsibilities :
Team leadership & business partner management
Guide & develop team of two direct reports; ensure their progression within their roles
Work collaboratively with Store Managers to build their understanding of supply & demand planning through coaching and cooperation
Build a strong relationship with the Merchandising & Marketing teams to manage the inventory impact of brand marketing campaigns and new brand / product launches
Communicate ideas for slow moving products / brands to the merchandizing team to ensure minimal ageing stock
Monitor inventory levels in stores to ensure sales targets and inventory targets can be met. This includes replenishment, rebalancing and returns
Manage stores’ replenishment for locally and overseas sourced products, which involves validating stores’ replenishment calendar with suppliers and Sephora regional hub in Singapore
Build and maintain a tight-knit partnership with local suppliers to ensure high order fill rates, quick replenishment times and error-free operations
Active review of the product database to ensure accuracy of product assortment
Develop an effective return to brand policy to maintain low levels of aging stock
Communicate closely with brand partners to ensure smooth process of returns
Qualifications & attributes
Bachelor’s degree; Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field preferred
5+ years of experience within a Supply Chain Function, ideally in a multi-brand retail environment
Excel holds no secrets from you - you are extremely comfortable with data
You are analytical, and you love solving problems. You bring a creative mindset and persistent focus to get results
You have excellent communication skills with a demonstrated track record of building cooperative partnerships with a range of business partners
You enjoy working in fast paced environment; calm in a storm, good sense of humour, never one to panic
You are an organizational ninja, able to prioritize a demanding workload, and to deliver results consistently with good humour
You are able to balance big picture strategy with digging into the detail.
