This position requires 4-6 years of industry experience within payment operators with ability to work with senior managers and senior executives within the client base to develop business analysis of key players, future of the industry, new business models, compelling scenarios and recommendations.
The candidate will be expected to take ownership and lead the research in specific areas within Payments Strategy. The candidate must be very familiar with Asia-
Pacific Payments Technology within Banks, Payments companies or FinTech players as well as the global business issues faced by the Payments industry in general.
Responsibilities include writing research reports, periodic thought leadership articles, speaking at events in addition to supporting consulting within research areas etc.
Client contact will be a combination of face to face, email and on the phone.
Exceptional time management skills are required. There are quality measurements to the position focused on timely client service and research deliverables, client interest in research content, collaboration as well as productivity targets.
Strong analytical skills are required for this position. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, able to efficiently multitask and to deliver high quality research on time through a variety of media.
The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work in a self motivated manner but within a collaborative team environment.
The candidate should be able to build admirable relationships with influential leaders, stakeholders including the key stakeholders to effectively represent the company and enhance collaborative work relationships.
Current visibility at senior level executives across the region in payments companies or within banks would be a plus.
The successful candidate must be presentable and able to carry himself / herself at the highest level during engagement visits with all internal and external stakeholders of the company.
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Research, Engineering.
Minimum of 4-6 years of working experience with relevant experience in corporate strategy, digital services strategy, marketing strategy, market research and strategy consultancy.
The candidates must have basic researching skills, analytical skills, good clear writing skills, interviewing skills, presentation skills, client interfacing skills are all essential and strong skills in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Powerpoint).
The candidate's previous experience could be within a consulting firm, another research firm, a payments company or a bank.
But it matters that his views are broad enough in term of geography and expertise (not a narrow technical understanding, but strategic).
Product / Sales focused role will not be suitable for this role.
Experienced corporate strategists or market / business intelligence analysts within payments companies or banks are highly encouraged to apply.
