Responsibilities : Financial Management

Financial Management

  • Formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage the implementation of the strategic business plans.
  • Develop performance measures and that support the company's strategic direction.
  • Responsible for the overall direction and control of the company's financial matter including accounts, tax, management reporting and other finance matters of the company and the subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for the management of financial / corporate accounting functions inclusive of financial planning, budgetary controls and treasury management.
  • Producing insightful financial analysis and forecasting used to support business decisions.
  • To support the organisation's growth plans and guide the company towards sustainable long term success.
  • Monitor and provide strategies approach to ensure the Group's performance is aligned with budget and measuring against set of key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Oversee the finance and treasury functions includes day-to-day treasury's operation, securing project's funding and cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
  • Work in tandem with other departments to maintain the cost monitoring of development projects
  • Risk Management

  • Structure, review and analyse feasibility studies and proposals in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with bankers, auditors, directors, government regulatory bodies, company secretaries and tax agents.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Operations

  • Oversee the billing and collection of Sales Administration activities.
  • Structure and lead the finance department to achieve maximum productivity, provide the necessary coaching and training as part of the human capital development to build a mature and competent team.
  • Active involvement in co-ordinating and finalising all corporate deals and acquisitions.
  • To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the Managing Director / Executive Director.
  • Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or related professional qualification. Must possess professional qualification in ICAEW, ACCA or CPA.
  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in property development, property management, and / or construction industry.
  • Technically competence in Malaysian and global corporate and tax knowledge, regulations and by laws.
  • Possess leadership qualities and able to communicate with people at all level.
  • Strategic, feasibility studies, strong problem solving, analytical and motivational skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results- orientation.
